Standard Child Care First Aid

Standard child care first aid is a course that is provided exclusively via workplace approved partners. This course is one of the most extensive courses that the workplace approved has to offer. This course is 16 to 20 hours in length at is typically taught within two to three days.

Candidates enrolled in this course will also receive CPR level “B” and AED training. Upon successful completion of the course candidates will receive a workplace approved certification card that is valid for up to three years. The card also states completion in CPR level “B” and AED training. Candidates enrolled in this course will receive CPR training that includes rescuing adults and children.

Standard childcare first aid classes are available across Canada in most major cities including Kelowna, Calgary, Surrey, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Regina, Ottawa and Saskatoon. Standard childcare first aid courses in Vancouver are also currently available. All training providers offer courses in a variety of locations within the city.

Certifications Through St Mark James:

Candidates that successfully complete the skills component and the multiple choice test with a minimum grade of 70% will receive a workplace approved standard child care first aid, CPR level “B” and AED certificate that is valid for 3 years. This certificate meets government and legislative standards for many provinces and is valid throughout Canada.

Course Cost:

The cost of a standard childcare first aid course is 130.00 dollars. Course fee includes workplace approved childcare first aid manual, certification fee and all applicable taxes. Our training partners do not have any hidden fees.
