Standard Childcare First Aid Re-Certification are courses designed for people looking to renew their previously award childcare certificate. Upon successful completion of this course candidates will receive a workplace approved standard childcare first aid award that is valid for three years.
This course also recertifies the CPR level C component of the course. This course is significantly cheaper and is takes half the time the full childcare course would take. The curriculum of the course is equivalent to that of the full course but is taught in a condensed format. St Mark James instructor that is leading the course will have the candidates focus on skills and knowledge that candidates need improvement on and will focus on new standards.

Standard Childcare First Aid Registration Prerequisites
In order to qualify for a standard childcare first aid re-certification candidates must meet the following pre-requisites.
- Candidates must have successfully completed a workplace approved standard childcare course or renewal course within the past 3 years.
- Candidate must present previous certification card to the instructor prior to re-issue of new award.
- Certification card must be awarded from St Mark James. It is not a international award and candidates from other nations will need approval from St Mark James to attend a re-certification course in Canada if they have received their award from another nation.
Cost of the First Aid and CPR Course:
Standard Childcare first aid re-certification costs 70.00 dollars. Course fee includes certification card and all applicable taxes.
Length of the Course:
The length of this renewal course is 8 hours. The re-certification course is usually taught within one day.
